Jennifer MacLeay, MBA, DVM, PhD

Dr. Jennifer MacLeay is a veterinarian with expertise spanning clinical practice, academia, research, and the veterinary industry. She recently practiced urgent care and general practice in Topeka, and Lawrence, respectively. She is very excited to work with the amazing VESH Wichita team.

Dr. MacLeay earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University, completed a residency and PhD in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota and held an academic position at Colorado State University. She is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Large Animal), holds an MBA from the University of Kansas, and is pursuing a certificate in canine rehabilitative medicine.  

Her academic career at Colorado State University included clinical medicine, educating veterinary students and collaborative studies. Her research has been published and presented at national and international scientific meetings. Dr. MacLeay moved to Kansas when she joined Hill's Pet Nutrition as Medical Director. She later served as Chief Veterinary Officer for the AKC Canine Health Foundation and as Director of Veterinary Education for the Purina Institute.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. MacLeay loves spending time with her husband and three daughters, competing in agility with her dogs, watching Broadway shows, volleyball matches, singing, and enjoying great food.
