About Us
We have been providing pets in the Wichita area the best emergency and nursing care, as well as surgery and advanced dentistry since 1978. Our primary goal is to provide an emergency and intensive care facility for patients that are sick or injured when your regular veterinarian is not available. Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Wichita does not offer non-emergency services such as vaccinations, neutering, or spaying. Non-emergency conditions discovered in the course of the examination will be brought to the attention of you and your referring veterinarian.

Much like the care an emergency room provides for humans, Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita offers help when your pet's doctor is not available in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays. We are an extension of the services provided by your pet's primary care veterinarian. Whether one of our emergency doctors or one of our specialists sees your pet, we will work closely with your veterinarian as part of a team of professionals to provide optimal care for your furry friend.
Our Veterinary Care
We offer emergency and overnight nursing care as well as care on weekends and major holidays. We also provide specialized surgical care, and dentistry/oral surgery on weekdays by appointment. CT is available if indicated by your animals treatment needs. Please call for availability
When you bring your pet to VESHW it will be treated in a facility that has been specifically designed and equipped to treat emergency cases. We also are open all day and night during major holidays.
In the event that your pet has a medical emergency, call your veterinarian’s office for instruction.
