Dr. Alex Brooks-Schrauth is a Wichita native. She completed her undergraduate degrees at K-State and received her doctor of veterinary medicine from Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in the Kansas City metro area as a general practitioner, she is happy to return to Wichita to practice emergency medicine. She strives daily to recognize, nurture and preserve the human-animal bond. Her specific interests are soft tissue surgery, wound care, nutrition and integrative/complimentary medicine. Outside of work, she and her son take care of their "menagerie" at home of dogs, cats, rabbits and a stoic turtle named "Sigmund." She enjoys the outdoors, weight-lifting, and fostering her ever-growing library of antique books.
