Dr. Beins is a Wichita native and graduated from Wichita High School East in 2007. She has an Environmental Science degree from the University of Denver and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. Dr. Beins entered private practice after graduation and focused on equine and small animal medicine. She looks forward to bringing her small animal skills to the ER. Her specific clinical interests are internal medicine and ophthalmology.
Outside of work, Dr. Beins spends her time with her husband, 2 year old son, and baby girl. She finds joy in supporting local businesses, buying plants and trying to keep them alive, riding horses with her mom, and traveling by train. She has a rescue Labrador/Great Dane named Hobbes who was voted the best dog in the world by his family 7 years in a row. She also has a 31-year old rescued Appendix Quarter Horse named Rebel who loves store bought horse cookies, but hates real apples.
