Dr. Holly Smith, DVM is a native of the Oklahoma City area and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1995. Since graduation she has practiced in both mixed and small animal practice in the Hutchinson and McPherson areas before joining VESHW. For Dr. Smith, joining the team at VESHW meant fulfilling the dream of working with a team of extremely talented veterinarians and staff whose entire goal is to provide the best medicine possible to each and every little (or big) furry patient. Dr. Smith’s current areas of focus include veterinary pain management and mobility issues, scientific integrative medicine and surgery which facilitate her professional interests in improving the quality of life for each patient by considering the whole patient including the pet’s myofascial and orthopedic systems, lifestyle, occupation, role in the family and its personality. She integrates traditional veterinary medicine, pharmacology, acupuncture, massage, laser, rehabilitation, and surgery, as indicated with a caring touch, to aid each individual patient along the journey of achieving the best outcome possible. She is a member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and is a DOC instructor at the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians course. She and her husband enjoy chasing their 3 children around the state at their activities and athletic events, keeping their cows happy, and sometimes she even has time to ride her horses.
