Emergency Services

Brock Lofgreen, DVM

Dr. Brock Lofgreen graduated from Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and began his career in Wichita at the Wichita Emergency Veterinary Clinic. Working and communicating with area veterinarians and clients advanced his practice style and medical knowledge. As he attained a feel for community expectations and needs, he shaped the concept for future hospital development to include specialty veterinary services. In February 2002, Dr. Lofgreen became the Hospital Director. In 2005, the hospital was renamed Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Wichita after hiring the first board-certified veterinary surgical specialist in the Wichita. The year 2008 brought more changes to the practice as Dr. Lofgreen and his partners purchased the practice from the previous shareholder group of the Wichita Emergency Veterinary Clinic. The hospital currently offers 24/7/365 emergency veterinary services along with specialty surgery, internal medicine, dentistry and ophthalmology. Dr. Lofgreen has led the way in the growth of VESHW and plans to add other specialty disciplines to the practice such as radiology, oncology, cardiology and any others that may present themselves as a need in Wichita and the surrounding area.Brock and Angie have three daughters — Abigail (13), Jillian (9) and Ava (4) — who attend school in the Maize district. They enjoy outdoor activities, sports, music, reading, gardening, KSU football and basketball, spending time at the lake and various other activities in the area.
