Dr. Amy Highbarger grew up in Butler County and graduated from Circle High in Towanda. She earned her veterinary degree from Kansas State in 2007 and after graduation pursued equine and mixed animal practice in Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Ohio and New Mexico. After exploring veterinary medicine all over the Midwest, she returned home with her husband and daughter to be close to family. She joined VESHW in the fall of 2018 and her favorite part of coming to work is the fast paced challenge of emergency medicine. In her downtime she loves to catch up with her 2-legged and 4-legged family members and watch K-State sports.
